Shannon Adams will go head to head against reality TV stars, actors and renowned models for the 2019 Manhunt Australia Male Model of the Year title.

The Beaconsfield model made it through the casting process and will join 15 Australian aspiring male models, including Love Island’s Maurice Salib and Australia’s Hottest Gingers contestant Stevie Mac, in the Gold Coast for the national final on Friday 15 November.

The 27-year-old’s acting career began when he was just eight-years-old and he has since starred in TV shows such as Blue Heelers, Neighbours and Rush.

He was also seen in the 2018 Love Island Australia commercial, alongside host Sophie Monk.

But it’s not just all about physical features, Mr Adams hopes to educate and inspire his audience. As well as modelling, he works as a strength and condition coach/personal trainer at a Berwick gym.

“I don’t want to be someone who’s just a model – I want to be a role model to people and to eventually be the number one fitness role model in the country,” he explained.

“My goal is to be a fitness icon and that correlates with modelling. Modelling will lead me down a path to inspire others and help people become the best self they can be.

“There needs to be some passion behind it. People want to be famous, but they don’t know what they want to be famous for – you don’t help people by just being good looking.”

At the competition, the models will compete in two categories: eveningwear and tribe swimwear.
