It took almost an hour and a half for 10 CFA vehicles to bring a bushfire in Gembrook under control.

Crews from Pakenham, Gembrook, Cockatoo, Macclesfield, Hoddles Creek and Yellingbo responded to the fire on Soldiers Road on Thursday 21 November at 8pm.

It’s understood the fire was considered under control by 9.20pm.

All crews left the scene by 9.30pm, except for Gembrook crews who stayed until a stop was issued just before 10.30pm.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
