Man wanted after armed robbery

Police detectives are appealing for witnesses following an attempted armed robbery in Beaconsfield late last year.

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a restaurant in Beaconsfield late last year.

A man entered the restaurant on Princes Highway about 8.30pm on Wednesday 18 December and threatened staff with a large knife, demanding cash before fleeing empty handed. No one was physically injured from the incident.

Police from Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following the incident.

An image of the man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation has been released.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, and was wearing a black Ripcurl cap and a red sports jersey with white writing.
