Enhanced arrangements in order to protect the elderly in aged care facilities from Covid-19 were put in place on Wednesday 18 March.

Visitors and staff are not permitted to enter an aged care home if they have recently returned from overseas, have been in contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case, have a fever or respiratory infection symptoms or have not been vaccinated against influenza.

Pakenham facility Millhaven Lodge restricted visitors, exclusive of family members visiting residents that are terminally ill, as of Wednesday morning.

Residents are granted to leave the premises for medical appointments or to attend a family member’s home.
