Shop local – Keeping people on their feet

Health professionals are going above and beyond to support the community like never before during the Covid-19 crisis, including the team at The Foot and Ankle Clinic.

CEO Dr Aaron Bryce said his team was acutely aware of the important role they play in keeping people fit and healthy during this national emergency.

“The Health Minister has confirmed that all Allied Health businesses, including podiatry, can remain open and are encouraged to do so,” Dr Bryce said.

“The Foot and Ankle Clinic will remain open for all individual podiatry health care services during this time, while ensuring we apply all necessary health and safety precautions to protect visitors and staff alike.”

Clinic doctors are on hand to assess and treat, among other things, sprains, strains, blisters, fractures, ingrown toenails and painful toenails, as well as diabetic wound management.

They can assess your injury and refer you directly for bulk-billed X-rays and ultrasounds.

The clinic has a full stock of moon boots and pressure relief appliances.

Mr Bryce encouraged people with foot or ankle issues to contact TFAAC rather than put pressure on GPs or emergency departments.

“We are working with our colleagues across the medical system to ensure Australians come out of this crisis as fit and healthy as possible.”

Dr Bryce has owned and managed TFAAC for 26 years. The business’s dedication to community health throughout Gippsland the South East has seen it grow to become one of the largest and most advanced podiatric medicine practices in the world.

“We have wonderful patients across all our clinics and we want to make sure we are here for them for however long this crisis may last. It is important people look after all aspects of their health during this difficult time.”
