A wayward cow in search of an adventure has found herself trapped inside a trampoline.

A herd of cattle left their Nyora property in the early hours of 15 October, but their late night antics ensured it would be a story to remember.

Up to 60 dairy cows left the farm and stumbled into a number of nearby properties, including into Shelley Churchill’s yard.

“Our dog woke my husband and I up at 2am barking mad to discover cows in our yard,” she recalled.

“We rang a farmer to help us then realised many more cows were out at about 3-4 different houses.

“They walked about 2km up the road onto my folks property plus also walked 1.5km to my property.”

By 3am, the curious cows were all rounded up and returned home, but just prior to returning to bed, Ms Churchill decided to check there were no stray cows on her parent’s property.

“I told my husband ‘let’s check out my parent’s place again’, just to be sure there were no more cows,” she explained.

“That’s when we discovered the cow stuck on the tramp.

“‘Holy s*** there’s a cow stuck on the tramp’ is exactly what I said!”

Ms Churchill called the farmer back and asked for a tractor to come and release the confused cow from the in-ground trampoline.

The tractor eventually lifted the big bovine up with a hip hoist and by 3.30am the cow had trotted off back to the safety of the herd.
