Teen charged with murder

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder following an alleged stabbing attack in Narre Warren South.

Homicide Squad detectives charged the teenager on Tuesday 22 December in relation to the death of a 42-year-old woman.

Emergency services were called to a property on Springvalley Way at about 1pm on Monday 30 November following reports that multiple people had been seriously injured.

A 42-year-old woman was flown to The Alfred hospital with upper body injuries but she tragically died.

A 70-year-old woman and a three-year-old girl were also transported to hospital with serious injuries.

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was arrested at the scene. Police said he had remained under police guard in hospital, after having sustained serious upper body injuries.

On Tuesday afternoon, it was confirmed by police that he has since been charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

He was expected to appear at a Children’s Court later on Tuesday.
