A tree fire was quickly brought under control on Friday evening thanks to the combined efforts of FRV and the CFA.

According to a FRV spokesperson, FRV and CFA crews attended a location on the Princes Highway near Ahern Road after a caller to Triple Zero reported a tree on fire at 4.50pm on Friday 19 February.

“Crews arrived on scene in six minutes, and brought the incident under control three minutes later,” the spokesperson said.

A CFA spokesperson confirmed that two CFA tankers and volunteer firefighters from Pakenham and Toomuc fire brigades supported FRV to fight the fire.
