The Community Grocer market proved an essential and popular service during lockdown 5.0.

The not-for-profit organisation that hopes to help support healthy, connected communities across Australia continued throughout Covid-19 restrictions.

Manager Madie Rafferty said she didn’t expect the market to be so popular during the latest lockdown.

“We were busier than we thought and our pre-order boxes with contactless pickup were very popular,“ she said.

The market, which is held every Thursday at the Outlook Community Centre from 9am to 1pm, stocks a range of produce is available at the weekly market, including fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs and fresh juices – with majority of the produce coming from Victoria, if not, Australia.
