Kooweerup CFA volunteer Liam Manwaring climbed 1872 steps in his efforts to raise money for mental health support for the emergency service community.
He spent Saturday 18 September climbing up and down the swamp lookout tower in Kooweerup on the South Gippsland Highway, raising $490 for the virtual 2021 Melbourne Firefighters Stair Climb.
“It was very rewarding to be able to do it for a great cause,“ he said.
“It was awesome to see my friends and family give me support for doing this fundraiser.
“So far I’ve climbed 3012 stairs in total exceeding my goal but haven’t quite reached my donation goal yet.“
He’s hoping to reach $750.
