A collision has taken place at the corner of Windermere Boulevard and Princes Highway in Pakenham around noon on Monday 29 November.
Police said a woman suffered a medical episode while approaching a red light at the intersection and was unable to stop, colliding with another car carrying a woman and a child that had right of way.
No one was injured but the driver who suffered the episode was taken to hospital as a precaution.
A passer-by who witnessed the accident stopped to provide assistance.
Pakenham Police Sergeant Stefan Schmitzer said the accident served as a great reminder to always check before entering an intersection.
“Even if you’ve got the green light, as a pedestrian you always check to make sure it’s safe,” Sgt Schmitzer said.
