Next generation of lawyer awarded

Twelve local students have been awarded for their performance in VCE Legal Studies from Pakenham law firm Duffy and Simon.

In its seventh year, the awards were given to the student who ended up dux of their Legal Studies class in 2021.

Whilst this year the celebrations of the awards were affected due to Covid-19 restrictions, the students enjoyed a certificate, a hamper and a $200 cheque.

The awards are targeted at helping aspiring lawyers get their foot in the door, with many who have received the award given the opportunity to come in and work with Duffy and Simon through their many programs aimed at law students and graduates.

The following students were the recipients of these awards, Katharine Farrelly from Lakeside College, Siena Brennan from Hillcrest Christian College, Brianna Munns from St. Margaret’s School, Georgia Evans from St Francis Xavier College, Sienna Roden from Kooweerup Secondary College, Ovin Jayawardana from Berwick Grammar School, Angie Scandizzo from Beaconhills College, Shinae Cruse from Berwick Secondary College, Aleisha Lippis from Pakenham Secondary College, Okindu De Rosairo from Haileybury, Esther Sarvananthan from Nossal High School and Christopher Banks from Casey Grammar School.
