Hundreds of antique and collectable items were on display at the Cardinia Cultural Centre over the weekend, back for the first time since Covid-19 disruptions.

Pakenham’s 17th Annual Antique and Collectables Fair was a roaring success on Saturday 30 July, with 40 stallholders showing off their interesting items for sale.

All funds from the $5 entry fee are going to Riding for the Disabled Doveton and the Myuna Farm Centre.

Organisers Coosje and John Dubach said they were pleased with how smoothly the event ran.

“We were very happy with the turnout,” Coosje said.

“People kept coming right until the end. It was a lovely atmosphere. People were excited to be back.”

Valuations by David Freeman were a popular attraction on the day.

Coosje estimated 750 people came through the doors to inspect the wide variety of items.

“There was something for everyone,” Coosje said.

“There was a good mixture of items, from expensive and special items like jewellery to connectable toys and coins.”
