Cardinia Art Society is inviting artists to explore their most creative ideas and enter them into the Trending Art Exhibition to be held at the Cardinia Cultural Centre Gallery from Friday 23 September to Sunday 2 October.

Society president Jillian Ronald said it was a great opportunity for artists to try something new.

“It’s an invitation to explore the boundaries and be creative! We encourage artists to have some fun with this,” she said.

“Plus, it’s a beautiful venue to display your art.”

The Trending Art Show is a contemporary show that highlights the latest in art.

Prizes will be award to the best resin, flow, digital, mixed media, abstract, sculpture and textile.

If you have an artwork that has a cultural or environmental message, there is a category for you, too.

Youth prizes are available for young artists 15 and under. Entry cost to the show ranges from $15 to $20 depending on size, and young artists can enter from $10.

Artists are also able to bring their art merchandise to the show. This is a great opportunity for visitors to do some early Christmas shopping for a unique gift.

All items must be priced under $50.

Entries are online at the Cardinia Art Society Website and close on Thursday 1 September.
