Heavy overnight rains didn’t deter players from lining up in droves at Deep Creek Golf Club on Saturday for the last stableford event of April.

A total of five players scored 38 points each, but there could only be two winners with Levi Sua (11) winning A Grade on a countback from Leon Mateariki (11), while sweet-swinging lefty Robin McCrae (18) won B Grade via the same means from Theo Van Roy (18).

Bryan Clydesdale also scored 38 points and led the down the line winners, joined by Peter Reilly, Colin Crowle and Nick Gray 37, Harry Elyasie and Michael Anlanger 36, and Les Jones, Rod Walker and Ross Maclean with 34 points.

Nearest the pins went to; 2nd Hole: Peter Reilly (2.00m) and 16th Hole: Theo Van Roy (1.15m).

A great-sized field competed in last Monday’s Anzac Day event, with 38 points once again being a popular score.
