Catani on struggle street again

Round five of the Ellinbank and District Football League (EDFL) was once again filled with an abundance of mixed results.

Ellinbank inflicted another devastating loss on Catani, with James Williams and Nicholas Cullen the only two to hit the scoreboard for the Blues.

Adamson Cook kicked five goals to lead Ellinbank to a 72-point win.

Yarragon could only manage three, yes three, against Poowong away from home.

The Magpies kicking a very inaccurate 5.12 to to win by 39 points at home.

Buln Buln held off Trafalgar by 17 points.

Matthew Swenson and Klay Butler were the only goal-scorers for the Pirates.

Neerim South kept its unbeaten run in tack with a 21-point win over Lang Lang away from home.

Lachlan Bambridge, Luke Kinder and Kody Wilson kicked two goals each to anchor their side to victory for the fourth time this season.

Nilma Darnum remains anchored to the bottom of the table.

Nima put up a valiant showing against Nyora but fell 22 points short.

Travis Stewart and Scott Pugh kicking five goals between them to lead their side to victory.
