LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Mr Wood,
We, Casey Cardinia for Refugees have been writing to you regularly for the last three years, requesting a meeting regarding our concerns about refugee policy, to no avail. Not even a reply.
One of our members was told by your staffer that the government’s position has not changed for 20 years, and our understanding is that you are not prepared to discuss alternative policy positions.
Are we to understand that you will not listen to constituents who do not agree with your position?
We look forward in the near future to an elected representative who shares our humanitarian concerns and makes him/herself available to all constituents.
We believe that when anyone’s human rights are denied, everyone’s rights are undermined.
