Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I love a good cooking show and may have been known to have these shows on for hours at a time… it usually pays off because putting my own twist on cooking for others is my chill out space.

What are you most passionate about?

Definitely education and the privilege of being an educator. Our children never cease to amaze in the way each individual can shine, step out of their comfort zone and bring something unique to the world, making it a better place.

What would your last meal be?

A really good seafood chowder with super crusty bread, sitting on a lovely deck watching the sunset.

What was your most memorable moment?

Becoming a mum and every day after that.

What were your favourite subjects in school?

English Literature and History – I loved how they would often overlap and the stories would unfold, taking you to another place.

What event past or present would you like to witness?

Scottish history fascinates me, I think I’d like to go back to 1800s Scotland and just be part of a day, its challenges and rewards.

Which six dinner guests, dead or alive, would you invite to dinner?

My grandparents and siblings, I think they’d like to see us grown up and meet their great grandkids.

What are you currently listening to/watching or reading?

15 Seconds of Brave by Melissa Doyle. It amazes me how when some people are going through the most traumatic and trying of times, that they can somehow find the courage to rally and not only be a support to themselves but also others.

How would you describe your fashion sense?

Practical, comfy but smart – if there is such a thing?

Have you had a pet that has made an impact on your life?

For my 10th birthday I was very lucky to be given a very cheeky pony by the name of Toby who was a habitual escapee from the paddock and farrier, and who loved to eat anything he wasn’t supposed to, including clinkers. He was great fun and an important part of our family for many, many years.

If you had to compete on MasterChef, what dish would you cook?

I love to cook and try new recipes so this is a really tricky question. I don’t know if it would be MasterChef worthy, but our family loves creating grazing platters piled high with all types of yummy tapas, seafood and other treats.

What is your dream holiday destination?

I think I’m a bit of a country girl at heart, so anywhere a little bit bush with a nice river and view. Having said that, I’m happy to explore just about anywhere and have a very extensive ‘bucket list’.

What were you like as a kid?

Fairly grounded and not at all rebellious. I loved being out from sunrise until sunset riding my horse, being together on family holidays or drives or pottering around home and cooking.

What was your first job?

The local fish and chip shop – I do not miss 30-plus degree days when everybody would prefer takeaway.

What are the three most used apps on your phone?

Gmail, Facebook and Google Maps.

What’s one question you have never been able to get the answer to?

Some of these questions were a bit tricky, but one question I will never find the answer is to is “why does one grocery shop cost more than my first horse?”
