Drop off your household chemicals at the Cardinia Shire Council depot on 22 April.

Detox your home

Toxic household chemicals, such as cleaning products, pool chemicals and pesticides can be safely disposed of for free at Sustainability Victoria’s Detox Your Home events, in partnership with local councils. Collected items are recovered for reuse or safely disposed of. With community safety in mind, Detox Your Home events are drive-through (no walk-ins) and contactless.

Household chemicals only.

Saturday 22 April 9am to 2pm at Cardinia Shire Council depot, 18 Purton Road, Pakenham.

Emerald Museum’s Teddy Bears’ Picnic

Join us for scones and stories as part of the 2023 Australian Heritage Festival. Invite your family, friends and favourite teddy bear for a picnic amongst the lush backdrop of the Nobelius Heritage Park. Hear the story behind the 100-year-old teddy bear living at the Emerald Museum, enter our lucky door prize, and more! Check out our agenda for what else is happening on the day.

All food is provided. Simply bring your own rug.

Yakkerboo Festival

A family-friendly event held each year that includes fun parades, carnival rides, food trucks and market stalls. It goes over Saturday and Sunday, starting with a carnival on Saturday evening, while Sunday will be the main day featuring food and stalls that will take over the park.

Mindfulness sessions at Pakenham Library

Join us for meditation, relaxation and yoga every Wednesday night from 6.30pm. Practise meditation, relaxation and yoga with Sharon from South East Yoga. Enjoy the inner peace and personal transformation that yoga and meditation will bring to your daily life. You will learn Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, breathing techniques and relaxation methods that will help to relieve stress and anxiety.

Every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Bookings are required. BYO mat.

Nobelius Heritage Park guided walking tour

Join us for a one-hour guided walking tour of the lush Nobelius Heritage Park, presented by Barrie Gallacher. This event is part of the Australian Heritage Festival. In 1886, Finnish horticulturalist Carl Axel Nobelius purchased 63 acres and established Gembrook Nurseries, more commonly known as the C. A Nobelius and Sons Nursery.
