Tigers claw for title

THREE Beaconsfield Cricket Club teams are in high hopes of premiership wins next weekend after rain disrupted grandfinal games on Saturday.

After a 2pm start and losing the toss, Beaconsfield completed only eight overs before further rain on day one against Lyndhurst.
However Beaconsfield took two early wickets.
On Sunday Lyndhurst resumed its innings, only to see the Tigers capture two more early wickets.
Beaconsfield bowled and fielded well throughout the day to dismiss its Lyndhurst for 142.
Dave Lennon captured 3/34, with great support from Jamie Ingham with 2/21 and Greg Butler also snaring two wickets.
With 14 overs to bat, Ross Mitchell and Brad Pitcher weathered the difficult session to see Beaconsfield at stumps on 0/24.

Also losing the toss, Beaconsfield Bandits were asked to bowl by Emerald Black.
In a great bowling and fielding effort Beaconsfield wrapped up its opposition for 83.
Brent Dames bowled very tightly to return 3/11 from 8 overs. Brad Pitcher (2/12) and Blain Bertoncello (2/23) were the other key wicket takers.
Beaconsfield then batted for a short session late on Sunday and finished on 1/16, with Brad Hollick on eight notout and Peter Sofra two notout.

Beaconsfield won the toss and elected to bat.
Nathan Madden top scored with 19, while brothers Arvind and Ashwin Krishamoorthy reached 17 and seven respectively. The final score reached 84 for the Minors, giving a total to defend next Saturday.
