Lang Lang

LANG Lang produced a shocker against Cranbourne Meadows in the sub-district one-day fixture on Saturday.
There was no play in second XI game against Nar Nar Goon.

Lang Lang won the toss and elected to bat and after a 30-minute delay was soon in trouble, losing the first three wickets with only seven runs on the board.
A fighting 48-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Rogan Fraser and Ross Douglas was ended when Fraser was out caught behind for 31 and with no addition to the score.
Douglas was back in the pavilion after making 14.
The remaining six batsmen could only manage to put on 17 runs between them to see Lang Lang all out for 72 after facing only 29 overs.
After the tea break Lang Lang bowlers found it hard to get the initial breakthrough, but with the score on 22 Rogan Fraser held a good catch off the bowling of Glenn Easton to get the first wicket.
Twelve runs later Easton got his second wicket and, with the score on 68, Ross Douglas claimed the wicket of the opening batsman.
Lang Lang could only manage to grab another three wickets, with one each to Rogan Fraser and Adam Dowson with Glenn Easton getting his third for the match.
Cranbourne Meadows finished on 7/94 with play stopping and still four overs to bowl.
Lang Lang failed to maintain a good line and length – bowling as 22 wides.
