Lady Dom is the best in town

NOT only was she favourite in the betting ring, but she was also a favourite with seemingly everybody on course.
And though only one rival had had fewer starts than her, Lady Dom was in no mood to respect records when she stepped out for the Star News Group Country Challenge at Pakenham on Sunday.
Lady Dom, the product of a union between an American sire and a New Zealand mare, was having just her fourth start – and her first in more than eight months.
But the Tony Noonan-trained and Danny Nikolic-ridden Lady Dom knew exactly where the finish line was in the $17,500 race, having plenty to spare over her rivals, despite coming from a wide barrier.
The four-year-old mare made many happy, especially members of The Dom Racing Syndicate 1 and The Dom Racing Syndicate 2 – many of whom were on course to celebrate.
