THE Pakenham Golf Club played host to a three-man Ambrose event last Friday which was proudly sponsored by the Lakeside Branch of the Bendigo Community Bank.
Prior to the 8.00am tee-off, local businesses were provided with a buffet breakfast and then received a hot and cold buffet lunch at the completion of the round.
The three man team’s event was played in sixes with the Pakenham Police Group of Richard Murphy, Scott Milnes and Nick McQualter winning the day. Coming in a close second was the Ian Ballantyne Accounting team consisting of Ian Ballantyne, Jason Dodd and Neville Clements.
Nearest the pins for the day went to Eddie Carrington (second), Scott Milnes (fifth), Stephen Whitehead (eighth), Nick McQualter (14th) and Ron Jacobs on the 16th. Longest drive winners were Richard Murphy and John Roberts.
A big thank-you to Bendigo Bank for its continued support.
