Get active for life

STAYING active and keeping fit will be easier thanks to Cardinia Life this month.
A Victorian Government initiative, Premier’s Active April, encourages all Victorians to do 30 minutes of physical activity each day for 30 days from 1 April to 30 April.
Cardinia Life is encouraging everyone in the shire to get more active more often by offering 10 free passes to everyone who registers for the Premier’s Active April.
Centre manager Chris Hargreaves said he was looking forward to helping Victorians, in particular those within the Cardinia region, to participate in the active challenge.
“One of the biggest barriers to a healthy lifestyle is the ability to be active,” he said.
“Premier’s Active April is a great way to not only get fit and healthy, but spend time with your family and just have fun.”
All registered individuals will receive 10 free YMCA passes, 15 per cent off at Rebel Sport, one free child pass to the National Sports Museum and MCG Tour and SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium, one hour free tennis court hire at Melbourne Park or the Albert Reserve and a chance to win some great prizes including a sports pack valued at $10,000 including 2014 Toyota AFL Grand Final tickets, bikes and sporting equipment.
Participants will also get regular tips and ideas on ways to keep active and have access to a new online activity tracker to log daily activity and track progress throughout the month.
Registrations are now open and free to all.
