Medal win for quiet achievers

The Quiet Garden entry into the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.

DESIGNING and creating a garden oasis has won Upper Beaconsfield business Str8line Landscaping an award at this year’s Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
Str8line director Chris Early said they teamed up with designer Ros McCulley to work on the garden design and started planning it six months ago.
“It took seven or eight days to construct,” he said.
They were awarded a bronze medal in the show gardens category at the internationally acclaimed show.
It is the biggest in the southern hemisphere and Mr Early said he was thrilled with their win.
“It was our first attempt so we are pretty rapt,” he said.
The landscape business won a Cardinia Shire Business Award in 2011 in the property and trades category and Mr Early said the show was in the top five in the world.
