BEACONHILLS College dancers have once again scared away their competition after they claimed gold at the national TFT Sports Event Management Dance Star competition.
The Monsters from Berwick Campus earned the national title for Large Lyrical Secondary section and won through preliminary and state competitions earlier this year.
The school has won the section for a second year running and dance teacher Stephanie Borrie couldn’t have been happier with the troupe of 16.
“All competitors have trained tirelessly since February this year,” she said.
“The results are a true testament to their dedication, skill and passion for dance.”
On an individual scale, grade six student Bella competed in Primary Open Solos, which was named the hardest competition of the weekend.
“She did not place but represented Beaconhills proudly and still has the title of Victoria’s best Primary Open soloist,” Ms Borrie said.
“The standard of dance was incredible and all the competitors deserved medals.”
Students also represented their school in the Secondary Broadway Jazz audition section, in which one student placed second, as well as the Secondary Hip Hop Audition section.
Ms Borrie also thanked the parents of students for their help during the course of the competition.
