A BERWICK nature reserve will boom with song and laughter as part of a community Christmas event later this month.
Carols by Candlelight will be held at the Edwin Flack Reserve from 7pm on Saturday 20 December.
The Berwick Youth Choir will strike a chord for the much-awaited event along with solo artists Shu-Cheen Yu and Michelle Alban who are expected to bring a young, pop sound to the event.
Shu-Cheen is a multi-award winning international opera singer currently starring in The King and I in Sydney.
She had the recent honour of singing for the Chinese President Xi Jinping during his visit to Australia for the G20 summit last month.
Casey Choir and Southern Voices choirs will also join in on the Christmas cheer which will play out in front of a spectacular fireworks display organised by the Rotary Club of Berwick.
Father Christmas will make an exciting visit to the grounds in his vintage Langonda car packed with his faithful elves itching to distribute lollies to good boys and girls.
Everyone is welcome to come along to the debut event sponsored by City of Casey which intends to spread Christmas cheer for years to come.
