SOME of Cardinia shire’s leaders are reminding residents to put Saturday 21 March in their diaries for the Parklea Pakenham and District Agricultural and Horticultural Show at PB Ronald Reserve.
Sponsorship and attractions co-ordinator Janette Young said the show would be a huge day with free entry plus the added bonus of great cash prizes for the Ironman and Ironwoman competitions, quirky events including the dog high jump, gumboot throwing and paper plane competitions.
She said local groups which make the show a success were the backbone of the community.
“And we are very pleased that we have been able to continue to maintain the show’s traditional agricultural and horticultural roots.
“It’s what makes this show so special,” she said.
