IF you’ve paid any attention to the Melbourne theatre scene over the past few years, you’ll know what a talent Rob Mills is.
But if you’ve missed out, his show ‘Rob Mills is Surprisingly Good’ is sure to impress.
Rob is out to win over the last of the skeptics in the new show, which brings together an eclectic mix of stories and songs.
Coming to the Cardinia Cultural Centre on Wednesday 14 October, Rob will first perform a private matinee to clients of Outlook, thanks to a donation from a private benefactor.
Cultural Centre venue manager Mark Fawcett said he was approached by Outlook staff, who requested a fun and energetic style of show.
“They wanted a Grease or a Legally Blonde, and I said what if I got somebody to do something that would incorporate all that,” he said.
“This show has a bit of everything – I think people will really enjoy it.”
Rob will perform songs from many of his past stage shows, including Wicked, as well as covers from artists including Taylor Swift, Gavin DeGraw and Coldplay.
Mark said audiences could expect a night of high-quality entertainment.
“Rob’s a true showman – so charismatic and an amazing sense of humour.
“He has people eating out of his hands during his shows.”
‘Rob Mills is Surprisingly Good’ will show at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, at 7.30pm on 14 October. Tickets are $32 for adults and $28.50 for concession and may be purchased from www.cardiniaculturalcentre.com.au
