PAKENHAM Fire Brigade welcomes the community to take part in their open day with a difference later this month.
From 10am until 2pm on Saturday 28 November, Pakenham CFA will host a community barbecue event focussing on delivering fire safety advice at the Richies stores in Main Street, Pakenham.
Brigade 2nd Lieutenant Stuart Sinclair said the Pakenham store had donated more than $18,000 to the brigade over the years – and this is their way of saying thanks.
“These much-needed funds assist with purchases of new equipment for our community,” he said.
Members will focus on providing fire safety advice to people who stop in for a sausage on the day.
