A Berwick mother’s selflessness and drive has been recognised by the AMP Foundation in the lead up to a $1 million community grants initiative.
Inspired by her experiences caring for her disabled son, Michelle Jankovic developed ‘Your Ability’, a portal to connect locals with healthcare and services.
She has spruiked the AMP Tomorrow Fund for allowing her to help others in the community.
“I am passionate about connecting individuals to healthcare products and services which enhance their life,” she said.
“I want to make sure they don’t miss out any life experiences.”
Ms Jankovic was the recipient of a grant in 2014, and worked tirelessly to make it count.
This year, the AMP Tomorrow Fund hopes to attract more charitable people and aspiring entrepreneurs from Cardinia and Casey.
“Every year we are astounded at the talent and innovation that is out there in the community,” AMP’s head of sustainability Helen Liondos said.
“We look at these grants as a way to support those hardworking change-makers who often fall through the funding gaps. And we know from our past recipients that our AMP Tomorrow Fund grants provide the boost in finances and confidence that helps them achieve great things for Australia.”
Grant applications can be made at ampstomorrowfund.com.au by 17 May.
