A vigil will be held in Bunyip tonight to honour the life of 22-year-old Eurydice Dixon, who was horrifically raped and murdered in Princes Park in Carlton North last week.

“We can’t make it to the Reclaim Princes Park vigil for Eurydice, but our family will walk our own little path through Bunyip in her memory and to reclaim the night,” Bunyip resident Samantha Millis said.

“If anyone would like to join us we would love to have you.

“We are leaving at 7:30pm from the front of the Bunyip netball courts, doing a lap of Bunyip football oval walking over the train line up to the top pub down the Main Street and past the park, back over the train crossing and back to the oval.

The walk will begin tonight at 7.30 from the front of the Bunyip netball courts at the Bunyip Recreation Reserve.

The Bunyip vigil is one among thousands being held across Australia tonight to remember the young comedian.
