Officer falls to Demons

OFFICER Premier grade lost a game it looked to be in a strong position in, going down to Kooweerup by 33 runs, 215 to 248.
Michael Torney with 46 – including three sixes – was in good form again after a great Country Week effort. Ben Baxter top scored with 71 and Daniel Savage played some great shots in his 32.
Shane White made 19 and Col Tucker 18 before a late collapse saw the game swing Kooweerup’s way.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

The Bullants’ C Grade side was beaten by 16 runs in a game it should have won, with some poor shot selection costing them.
Officer was all out for 127 with Peter Quinn playing well for 35 and other good contributions from Peter Tucker 26 and Kable Dowsett 25.
Officer will need to improve this week against Beaconsfield at Officer.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:E GRADE

Officer E Grade battled hard against Merinda Park but went down with Merinda Park making 248 declared.
Chris Winship took 2/30 to be the only multiple wicket taker. Michael Haughton had 1/10 from four overs. Jake Tivendale took 1/38, Tom Marks 1/67 and, to go with another 18 not out in the second innings, completed a great game for Tom Marks with bat and ball. Chris Day took 1/68 in a long spell at first change.
Officer then were asked to bat again and made 0/56 with Chris Day 30 not out, completing a good match at the top of the order.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 15

The under-15s batted all day on a fast ground making the good score of 8/200 with Brenton Hillard opening the innings and making 40 not out.
Nathan Selleck made 31, Sean Armstrong 29, Lachy Porter 22 and Ryan Bromley 19 in a consistent batting performance leading into the finals.
The side plays Pakenham at Pakenham this week before the finals start on 13 March.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 13

Under-13 Gold had a great win over Emerald making 151 with J. Longmuir top scorer with 34 not out and A. Smith 30 not out combining well and showing his dad how to bat. T. Hill made 17, Tyler Clark 14 and 2/9 and C. Mannering 10.
It was apparent in the first over that Officer Green was going to have a hard task against second-placed Beaconsfield Eagles. With some of the best batting seen at the Officer ground this junior season, Beaconsfield had a convincing win over Officer and should be congratulated not only on their skill but on their sportsmanship as well.
Bullants players fielded well and the wickets were shared with one wicket each to James, Dylan, Hayden, Callum, Corey, Angus and Andrew.
Officer is hoping to finish the season with a win against Nar Nar Goon/Maryknoll this week.

Officer under-11 Green had a fantastic two weeks at O’Neil road with some consistent performances indicating the boys will be ready for the challenges of under-13s next season.
Week 1: Officer 95 d Beaconsfield 35. Awards: Anthony, Riley and Kyle, Jack and Lachlan.
Week 2: Officer 97 to Beacy 74. Awards: Callum and Jamie, Harry, Dylan and Tyson, and Kai.
