TWO matches were completed in B Grade at the weekend, with Emerald defeating Beaconsfield, while Kooweerup proved to be too strong for Clyde.
The Cardinia v PUT and Upper Beaconsfield v Merinda Park matches were both washed out.
Emerald dismissed Beaconsfield for just 59 runs in their clash at Lakeside Oval, after the Bombers scored 219 last week.
Unfortunately, there are no bowling figures available at the time of writing this report.
Kooweerup produced a successful run chase in its match against Clyde, with the Demons scoring 6/147 after Clyde posted 145 last weekend.
Opening batsman David Lennon smashed two sixes and three boundaries in his quick-fire innings of 35 for the Demons.
Cardinia narrowly missed a victory in its match against PUT, with the Yabbies slumping to 7/73 chasing 158 after Chris Remy produced a superb spell of bowling to take 5/25.
In the other match washed out, Upper Beaconsfield was dismissed for just 113 before Merinda Park scored 1/37 in reply.
The two semi-finals next weekend will be between Cardinia and Emerald at Toomuc reserve number two ground in Pakenham, and Merinda Park v Kooweerup at Officer rec number two ground.

Only one match was completed in round 14, with Beaconsfield being dismissed for just 29 after Officer blasted 3/399.
Kevin Quinn was the hero with the ball for the Bullants taking 4/17 from 8.2 superb overs.
Pakenham reached 6/103 from 35.5 overs chasing 342 against Catani before being washed out, while PUT was looking good at the crease against Emerald at 4/181 chasing 265 before their match was abandoned.
In the final match, Tooradin looked to be cruising towards victory against Devon Meadows, reaching 3/123 from 36 overs, requiring just 33 further runs for victory before being washed out.
Next week’s semi-finals will be Officer v Catani at Officer Recreation Reserve and Tooradin v Devon Meadows at Rutter Park Recreation Reserve.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:D GRADE

Kilcunda/Bass was the only side to score a victory in D Grade, dismissing Nyora for 162 after scoring 185 last weekend.
Joel Aplin was the pick of the Sharks’ bowlers with 4/27 from his seven overs, while Simon Blake also bowled well to take 3/20 from 4.2 overs.
Kooweerup was saved from defeat in its match against Nar Nar Goon/Maryknoll, with the Demons struggling at 7/74 chasing 267 when the rain set in.
Merinda Park will also consider itself unlucky after reaching 2/181 from 32.3 overs chasing 198 when the rain came, with 83 runs from Craig Robertson and 51 not out from Andrew Lawler being the highlights.
Lyndhurst reached 1/74 from 25 overs in its chase of Cardinia’s 5/302 before their match was also abandoned.
Next week’s matches will be Nar Nar Goon/Maryknoll v Lyndhurst at Nar Nar Goon Recreation Reserve, and Merinda Park v Cardinia at Lyndhurst Secondary College.

Merinda Park proved to be too strong for Pakenham, with the Lions dismissed for just 68 before the Cobras scored 9/99 declared.
Pakenham then reached 3/78 in its second innings when the rain set in.
Cranbourne Meadows and Tooradin played out a draw after Tooradin reached 4/106 chasing 224, while there was also no result in the match between Emerald and PUT.
Next week’s matches will be Cranbourne Meadows v Merinda Park at Lawson Poole Recreation Reserve and PUT v Tooradin at Pakenham Upper Recreation Reserve.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:F GRADE

Beaconsfield produced a strong victory in its match against Gembrook, dismissing the Brookers for just 71 after scoring 6/328 last week.
Jamie Ingham was the hero for the Tigers with 6/25 from 10 overs.
Lyndhurst also proved to be too strong for Lang Lang, with the Vikings scoring 5/166 declared after dismissing the Swamp Tigers for just 94 last week.
Lang Lang then slumped to be 7/47 from 23 overs in its second innings when the storm hit.
There was no result in the Devon Meadows v Upper Beaconsfield match or the Nar Nar Goon/Maryknoll v PUT encounter.
Next week’s matches will be Beaconsfield v Nar Nar Goon/Maryknoll at Lakeside Oval in Pakenham, and Devon Meadows v Upper Beaconsfield at Glover Recreation Reserve.

There were no matches completed in the first round of the G Grade finals series, meaning that the highest-placed sides on the ladder will progress into the semi-finals.
Emerald will host Clyde at Chandler Reserve, while Kilcunda/Bass will host Lyndhurst at Bass Recreation Reserve.
