PAKENHAM Safeway employee Craig Arthur was recognised for 30 years’ service to the store this month.
Staff, friends and family attended a morning tea in his honour on 11 March to celebrate the milestone.
Safeway’s Regional Manager Daniel Ellul and Pakenham Store Manager Terry Thompson congratulated Mr Arthur on his many years of service.
Mr Arthur began working at Safeway in 1980 as a produce clerk at the Thrift Park, Mentone, store.
He moved to the Pakenham store in 1989 after a short stint at Fountain Gate.
During his time, Mr Arthur has held many different positions including his current position as perishables manager.
Working at Safeway has become a family affair.
Mr Arthur met his wife of 23 years, Leonie, at a Safeway Christmas party.
Their four children have all worked at the Pakenham store alongside their father. Their oldest child is now a manager at the Cranbourne store.
