WORKS on the 84-kilometre pipeline from the Wonthaggi desalination plant to the Cardinia Reservoir will see the closure of McCormicks Road, Cardinia later this week.
The road will be closed for a week to through traffic and detours will be in place, but local access will be available at all times via Duncans Road.
Construction works at McCormicks Road involve the closing of the road, digging a trench that crosses McCormicks Road, laying of pipe and backfilling the trench and reinstatement of the road.
Members of the public are asked to be alert for changed traffic conditions and observe all safety signage in place.
