Businesses must show

By Melissa Meehan
THE PAKENHAM Business Group is inviting all local businesses to attend their meeting next Monday night.
President of the group, Joanne Staindl–Johnson said she hoped home-based businesses and others from Lakeside, Baldhill Road and surrounding areas of Pakenham also joined the meeting.
“We are particularly hoping that businesses, not just in Main Street, recognise the Pakenham Business Group is for them as well,” Ms Staindl–Johnson said.
Next week’s meeting will feature guest speaker Inspector Wayne Viney, Cardinia’s new top cop, and he will discuss the importance of neighbourhood safety – especially for businesses.
He will also be available for questions and answers.
Ms Staindl–Johnson said she also hoped to provide an update on the Woolworths development.
The meeting will be held from 6pm at the committee rooms at the Pakenham Racecourse.
