They’re still in

TWO incumbents have secured their positions in the relatively safe seats of McMillan and Flinders.
Russell Broadbent and Greg Hunt both lost ground since the last federal election, but were still re-elected.
It is interesting to note that despite both Liberal MPs losing ground, Greens candidates in both electorates gained votes, with the Greens in McMillan and Flinders swinging 3.31 percent and 2.78 respectively.
It was the green vote that got Labor candidate Laura Smyth across the line in La Trobe, and would have helped Labor candidates in McMillan and Flinders if they did not lose ground themselves.
Both Mr Hunt and Mr Broadbent said they felt honoured to continue their roles representing their communities.
