ART enthusiasts flocked to the sixth annual Kevin Hill’s art show in Casey on the weekend.
About 700 people browsed the major art exhibition at the Kevin Hill’s Top Ten Australian Artists Art Show on 9 and 10 October.
The Casey guest artist was Marie Warnecke, whose work included landscapes and beach scenes, to reflect her love of the natural world.
Ms Warnecke is an active member of the Berwick Artists Society and one of the founding members of the Cranbourne Arts and Craft Society.
Casey mayor Lorraine Wreford opened the exhibition and also launched a limited edition book, celebrating 30 years of art shows, featuring 80 colour plates of painting and sketches.
“Strength in the arts is a positive sign for a strong and well connected community, and in my eight years on council, I have been very pleased to witness a steady growth in appreciation of, and commitment to, the arts here in Casey,” Cr Wreford said.
