THE talents of Lyndhurst Secondary College students will be showcased over two big nights of entertainment next week.
The school is holding its Performing Arts Showcase at 7pm on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 May at Cranbourne Community Theatre.
There will be dancing, singing, instrumental and drama acts as students take to the stage to show off what they have been working on in their performing arts classes and co-curriculum activities.
Performing arts co-ordinator Catherine Blackburne said the performances aimed to showcase the talented students and give them a way to let others appreciate and share their talents.
“We have students performing who have choreographed dances for their VET subjects, school bands, drama monologues, our Wakakirri performance, singers and instrumental music students,” she said.
“Students have been working on their performance since the start of term two and have been extremely dedicated in rehearsing and making their performance the best it can be.
“It is great to have ex-students coming back to help with the showcase and we have even invited ex-students back to perform.
“These students have left our college and are working in the music industry.
“This showcase allows students to celebrate and share their talents with their peers and the wider school community.
“It allows them to work with teachers, build relationships with other students and make lifelong friendships.”
Limited tickets will be on sale on the night for $5.
