HOMICIDE Squad detectives have released new information following the death of Pakenham mother Kylie Blackwood.
In the lead up to the one year anniversary of her death, police have renewed calls for witnesses for a man seen in the vicinity of her McCaffery Rise home in the hours before her death on Thursday 1 August.
Police believe the man may have been on Main Street in Pakenham between 12.30pm and 2.30pm later that day and may have accessed a bank ATM.
Reports that a bank card belonging to Mrs Blackwood was accessed on the same day she died could not be confirmed and there were reports that vital CCTV footage of the man may have been erased.
The bank involved in the latest lead has not been named.
Mrs Blackwood was found murdered in her home by her twin daughters as they returned home from school.
Homicide Squad detectives were reportedly investigating whether she was the victim of a burglary gone wrong or was being stalked in the lead-up to her death. The man wanted for questioning is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall, with a medium build and aged in his late 20s to early 30s.
