PAKENHAM’S Antique Fair has a new home.
The 11th annual event will be held at Cardinia Cultural Centre, following Pakenham Racecourse’s closure.
“We’d been at the racecourse so long,” organiser Jewel Beard said.
Antique expert and qualified valuer and auctioneer David Freeman will be back again this year, from 1pm.
He’ll provide valuations for $5 an item, excluding jewellery, coins and stamps. Organisers encourage people to bring photographs of larger items.
David and his wife Amanda Addams run an auction house in Kew and share more than 50 years’ experience in valuing and selling prized possessions.
All profit from the event will go to the 4Cs Crisis Relief Centre, Pakenham. The 4Cs – Cardinia Combined Churches Caring – offer food and other aid to needy people in the shire.
Pakenham Antique Fair will be held from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 26 July at Cardinia Cultural Centre, Lakeside Drive, Pakenham.
Entry is $5 for adults, $4 concession and free for children. Call 5941 1327 for more information.
