A BUSY weekend at Cardinia Beaconhills Golf links with the 2014 foursomes championships played on Saturday.
Congratulations go to Adrian Wheat (2) and Ryan Hocking (2) who won the trophy after a playoff on the first against runner-up pair Rob Kelly (2) and Ivan Furyk (7) with a gross score of 152. George Kikas (28) and Ivan Dames (18) won the nett with 134 from runner-up pair Tony Fry (12) and Lionel Glasson (13) with 138 nett.
Tony Whatman (24) and Peter Stainer (16) were the Saturday comp winners after returning the best nett score of 66 from runners-up George Kikas (28) and Ivan Dames (18) with 68 nett on a count-back.
Saturday was also the ladies’ Beaconhills Cup event with Jann Wilson (11) and Bronwyn Hampson (28) winning the 18-hole foursomes event with a score of 72 nett.
Congratulations also go to the former club captain Brian Meneilly who scored a hole-in-one on the sixth hole on Saturday.
Greg Hamilton (3) won Sunday’s stableford event, despite the wet conditions, he returned the best score of the day with 38 points.
MIDWEEK
Joe Bolton (9) won Tuesday’s A Grade par competition with plus five, while new member Keiran Timmins (19) won the B Grade with plus eight.
Thursday’s stroke event gave Andrew Conn (4) a win in the A Grade with 65 nett while Adrian Dearden (23) returned the best score in the B Grade with 64 nett.
LADIES
The women’s annual picnic day was well attended on Monday with a fun nine-holes of golf enjoyed by all, congratulations to winners Adrienne Wilson and Rosalie Leake.
The Dorothy White Perpetual Trophy was played on Wednesday with Heather Hamilton (21) and Kim Pitcher (34) winning the two-ball ambrose event with a nett score of 66.25.
