MORE than 120 hand-crafted toys were donated to a Pakenham welfare group which is committed to spreading Christmas cheer across the shire.
The Beaconsfield Knitting Club put endless time and love into the soft, snuggly knitted and crocheted items which are designed to brighten the lives of underprivileged kids in the area.
“Every quarter the group do a handover of soft toys, blankets, boots and baby jumpers they’ve knitted,” said 4Cs operations manager Abiola Ajetomobi.
“The items collected are then redistributed to children three months and under whose parents are doing it tough.”
The group handed over the knitted items which also included blankets, boots and baby jumpers at the Beaconsfield Neighbourhood House on Monday 1 December.
