REVIEW – ROUND 7 (Day 2)

BULN BULN (7/210) jumped to the top of Warragul District’s Division 1 competition with a power-packed chase over Hallora (200). Callum Stewart (110 not out) smashed his way to his first WDCA century as he led the Buln Buln batting effort. Sporadic help surrounded the rest of the order as Charlie Park (24) and Ryan Bishop (22) stuck around to support Stewart.
Yarragon (9/240) had to bat deep to overthrow Ellinbank (7/232) as Gamini Kumara (102 not out) held together the order. From second drop all the way to making the final runs, Kumara was the glue of the innings as Yarragon moved to sixth on the Division-1 ladder.
Bunyip (110 and 100) conceded outright defeat to Western Park (6/157dec and 154) while Drouin (166 and 1/24) claimed first points in its victory over Neerim District (74 and 142).
In Division 2, Iona has claimed top of the pops with a win over Hallora (9/181) via half-tons from Chris Blake (68 not out) and Luke Ferguson (58). Also picking up victories in the second grade were Drouin, Garfield-Tynong and Warragul.
While in Division 3 the best of the lower grades is Neerim District (213), which is on its way to top of the ladder following a successful defence against Jindivick (148). Brett Bransgrove (4/61) was the best of the bowlers.
