Woman hospitalised after crash

A 79-YEAR-OLD woman from Nar Nar Goon was taken to Dandenong Hospital following a two-car collision on the corner of Bormar Drive and Bald Hill Road, Pakenham, on Thursday morning.
Leading Senior Constable Matt Pietzsch said it appeared a 58-year-old man from Rowville turned into Bald Hill Road from Bormar Drive and failed to give way.
“The woman has suffered minor injuries and was taken to Dandenong Hospital,” he said.
“The man suffered a bit of bruising. He has been issued a penalty notice for failing to give way at a stop sign.”
The woman was driving in an easterly direction.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the female driver was “conscious and breathing“ when taken to hospital.
The incident was first reported at 11.29am.
A Dandenong Hospital spokesperson said the female patient was in a stable condition.
Pakenham fire brigade also attended the scene.
