SOME familiar faces from some of the country’s better known rock bands of the ’70s and ’80s, like The Screaming Jets and The Angels played at rock ‘n’ roots music festival Shed Rock in Kooweerup on Saturday night.
Jimmy Hocking and Paul Woseen (Screaming Jets) and Bob Spencer and James Morley (The Angels) formed superband Australian Rock to belt out some Australian classics, alongside emerging rockers King of the North and US country star Eric Lee Beddingfield.
Event organiser and musician Turk Tresize said the crowds were down due to the venue being moved at the last minute from Cannons Creek, but those who turned up had a blast.
“The music was great and everybody loved the setting, they felt like they were at the beach, but with lots of rock music,“ he said.
