MP refuses to spill the beans

FEDERAL McMillan MP Russell Broadbent has refused to comment on the government’s leadership woes and future direction.
The past fortnight has been tumultuous for the Liberal Party with some MPs calling for a spill motion to challenge Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s leadership.
It came after Officer Liberal Party member Andrew McNabb rang 3AW last month to slam Mr Abbott’s leadership, calling him “the world’s worst salesman”.
Speculation ended, for the time being at least, on Monday with a party vote of 61-39 against a spill.
The Pakenham Gazette asked Mr McMillan for his opinion on how the government could improve its overall performance, if he had supported a spill and who he would have voted for if it had gone ahead.
However Mr Broadbent’s media team could only offer “no comment”.
