ABOUT 160 farmers, agronomists and consultants from across the Cardinia shire and beyond descended on the Cardinia Cultural Centre last Thursday to socialise over soil.
With 2015 being International Year of the Soils, Western Port Catchment Landcare Network held a Soil Amendment Expo which was all about building healthy and resilient soils in a rapidly growing area.
Dr Pauline Mele addressed the crowd on the importance of soil biology to improve production and the cutting edge research currently taking place in Australia.
