FESTIVAL rides were splayed over Pakenham Consolidated School’s oval last week for an academic fund-raising event.
Students got together to enjoy ‘Pakenopoly’, a whole school topic designed to strength financial literacy skills for the future.
“This topic led the children to learn about the value of money and set up their own businesses to earn ‘Pakenopoly’ dollars,” event co-ordinator Marie Witts said.
Rides and stalls made for a fun afternoon on Thursday 19 March but most students were highly impressed with the dunking of teacher Mr Burnside.
The event, which cut the school day short for a 2.30pm start, was well attended by students and their families.
